Bernadette, has painted most of her life and was inspired by her artist family. Born In the Nederlands & Family moved to Australia in 1956..
My Art interests started at Home,... My Sister Hanneke Blessing- Erken ... a Visual Artist known for her work in (France & Germany) & my Dad ( landscape Architecture in his early years in The Nederland...before coming to AUSTRALIA
My love for cubism started by enrolling at Tecnical college doing watecolour courses so moving along .... moving around the state ... I was missing my inspiration ... when I found out there's a course at Sydney Uni by painting at home .. sharing with friends etc WEA art program ....fantastic friendships & painting .. so good ð
.My inspiration provided by the landscape...coastal environment & inland Australia to which she loves to bring expression liberated with impressionistic free style.
Humour, light/shade & colour .. Bernadette has also been a finalist in the Gosford Art Prize ....& spent time at Arkaroola with amazing Artists...has experience in teaching art, working in art galleries, and regular participation in art exhibits. Her works are finding away nationally & internationally.
