Mark Kingston is regarded as one of Australia’s most accomplished realist oil painters. His meticulous attention to detail, masterful technique and refined use of colour have made his work highly sought-after by art collectors and admired by the wider public. Over his career, Mark has participated in more than 40 solo and group exhibitions, and his paintings have been acquired by major corporate collections, including the Roche Group.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts from the University of Sydney and a Master of Art from the University of New South Wales. His teaching experience is extensive, having lectured in the Visual Arts program at TAFE and in the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree at JMC Academy. He is currently a lecturer at AIT, contributing to their Bachelor Degree program.
His artwork has been featured in leading newspapers such as The Sydney Morning Herald, The Sun-Herald, and The Daily Telegraph. He has appeared multiple times on the cover of Australian Artist Magazine, which has also published feature articles on his work. Additional coverage includes Belle Magazine, Australian Road Rider, Peninsula Magazine, and 24 Hours Magazine.
Mark has been selected as a finalist in numerous prestigious art awards, including the Mortimer Art Prize, the Hills Grammar Art Award, the ANL Maritime Art Prize, and as one of ten finalists exhibited in the Museum of Contemporary Art’s online gallery.
His body of work celebrates the beauty of lush landscapes, expansive skies, and serene coastal scenes, capturing the atmospheric qualities of sunsets and dramatic cloudscapes. Other pieces highlight the charm and character of pets and wildlife. |
