CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All current exhibiting financial members of Central Coast Art Society Inc (CCAS) are invited to exhibit.
Late Entry Forms will NOT be accepted
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
|
Entry Fee: $5 per artwork.
- Maximum of 25 unique artworks or functional art allowed per artist.
- Entry Fee is non-refundable.
- Payments must be made BEFORE the closing date for entries.
- Credit card charges will also be deducted before payments are made.
- When pricing your goods please ensure you have covered these costs and filled in the freight price when loading the item onto Gallery 247. (If you need help please contact exhibitions@ccas.au.)
- Freight calculations and inclusion is the responsibility of the individual artist.

Insurance:
Although CCAS will exercise all care with artworks, insurance is the artist’s responsibility. CCAS will not be liable for any loss or breakages.
|
|
Commission:
20% of sale price on all artworks including framed, stretched canvases, unframed matted, works on paper (unframed, unmatted), framed or unframed board, sculptures, cards and functional artwork.
|
EXHIBITION PROTOCOL
|
Exhibition Entry:
- Late entries will not be accepted.
- Entries will only be accepted through www.gallery247.com.au.
- The description assigned to each artwork /item should give a full account of what will be supplied. See below in Artwork Specifications for each type of item.
- Purchased artwork /items need to be sent to the buyer within one week of sale unless alternative arrangements are made with the buyer.

ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS
|
All Artworks:
- Only the artist’s original work and design will be accepted. DO NOT submit art done in workshops, copied from other artists, or including commercial kits of any sort.
- No AI is to be used and no artworks that may infringe on copyright.
- There is no size limit but it is the responsibility of the artist to ensure it can be freighted or posted to the buyer.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
|
To give the buyer the very best experience please comply with normal exhibition quality set up for your artworks.
|
|
Framed Artworks
- Framed works on paper, hanging textiles and canvases to be strung with strong cord or wire with flush attachments including D-Rings (min. size 1cm), screw eyes or other protruding material will not be accepted.
- Wire ends to be taped.
- Stringing material needs to be attached to the frame 1/3 from the top and not visible from the front when hung.
- Framing to be of professional quality, clean & in good condition front & back.
- Glass should be clean inside and out.
- Mats or mounts must be clean and unmarked.
- Framed works on paper should be sealed properly on the back with appropriate tape.

Stretched Canvases
- Thin edged canvases must be framed. Thick edge (25mm or more) canvases require no frame.
- Canvases are to be stapled to the frame at the back and not on the side.
- Edges to be treated as part of the painting or neat, clean and undamaged.

Unframed Matted Works on Paper
- Unframed matted art must be wrapped in cellophane and sealed
- Package to include a mat and supportive backboard.
- Mats or mounts must be clean and unmarked.

Works on Paper (not framed or matted)
- Artworks must be original and comply with our Artwork Specifications
- It must be made clear in the description they will only be receiving the artwork rolled in a cylinder.

Board
- Artworks on board may be framed or unframed. Please make it clear in description what the buyer will be receiving.
|
|
3D Artworks and Sculpture
- Using the above button allows you to record depth and weight and add a video of your artwork if you wish and provides the correct categorisation.
- Use multiple photographs in the artwork submission to show it from all possible angles.
- Work must be the artist’s original work
- Artists must include packaging and safe delivery in their freight costs.

Original Cards
- All work must be original artwork.
- Cards must be in packs with a minimum value of $25 sell price.
- A photograph of each card in the set must be included in the artwork’s photos so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting.

Printed Cards
- Cards must be in packs with a minimum value of $25 sell price.
- A photograph of each card in the set must be included in the artwork’s photos so the buyer knows exactly what they are getting.
- They can be sold as a set in separate packaging or all in one cellophane pack.
- Printed cards must be scanned and printed professionally.
- Photocopies and home printers are not high enough quality. (Vistaprint does economical, quality printing without any logos on the back. Snapfish do quality printing but include a Snapfish logo on the back of the card. Shop around - lots of choice of suppliers.)

Reproduction Prints
- These must be your original artworks, professionally scanned and reproduced as giclee prints on quality art paper.
- Prints can be framed, matted or sold ‘as is’.
- Ensure you indicate clearly on the artwork description that it is a print not an original artwork and total number if a limited edition series (eg limited edition of 100 prints).
- We are currently negotiating with a local print/framer to do drop shipping which means once they have scanned your artwork and hold the digital image and your instructions as to paper type, they will print to order and send to the buyer as if it came from you. We will be back in touch once this is finalised.

Photographs
- Photographs must be your own work and not AI generated or manipulated.
- Prints should be of high quality done professionally.
- Photographs can be framed, matted or sold ‘as is’.
- Ensure you indicate clearly on the photo’s description that it is a print not an original artwork and total number if a limited edition series (eg limited edition of 100 prints).
- If the photo has identifiable people in it, the photographer must be aware of the laws relating to selling photographs of individuals without their consent.

Craft
- As this is our first exhibition with craft items, they will be reviewed upon entry before being accepted into the art show.
- Crafters will be contacted and review discussed if any query arises from the review.
- Small value items must be bundled to the minimum value of $25. Each bundle represents one item and can be sold multiple times. Alternatively they can be sold as a set eg Card and matching bookmark.
- Craft must be original and not made from kits and must not breach copyright.
- It is expected that as much of the artwork is handmade as possible.

FREIGHT AND DELIVERY
- All items must have freight included when loading to Gallery 247. If you do not add the freight you will be covering the cost within your sell price as the website clearly states that freight is included in all artwork’s price.
- The adding of freight charges is the responsibility of the individual artist but we will help wherever possible. Contact exhibitions@ccas.au if you need help.
- "Click and Collect" can be included as an option for local buyers and artists may contact their buyers to determine choice of delivery.

DISCLAIMER
The CCAS Committee reserves the right to supplement or amend the Conditions of Entry at its absolute discretion.
Managing the delivery; cost of packaging, freight, and any insurance as required is the responsibility of the artist.
